CPR

Cardiopulmonary Resusciation

Master the protocol and to aid someone experiencing cardiac arrest, by learning good, effective CPR. The course includes an instructor led video presentation, technique demonstrations, and interactive manikins practice, with real-time audio and visual feedback during compressions and breathing.

AED

Automatic External Defibrillator

Learn how an automated external defribrillator works to detect an abnormal heartbeat so that you exactly when to use it. Then, learn how to use the AED, ensuring that you can provide vital support until professional help arrives.

Choking

Choking is a leading cause of injury and death, with over 5,000 deaths attributed to choking annually in the U.S., primarily affecting children and the elderly.However, Abdominal Thrusts (formerly called the Heimlich Maneuver) are effective in removing obstructions in the airway approximately 80% of the time when performed correctly by a bystander. In the CPR/AED course, all students will learn choking protocol for adults, children, and babies.

First Aid

Acquire foundational first aid skills, including how to manage cuts, burns, fractures, allergic reactions, and other common issues and injuries. We will make sure you know the poison control hotlines in your area as well as the "Good Samaritan" law in this and all courses, empowering you to provide immediate care when it’s needed most.

How long is my certification valid?

All certifications through the American Heart Association are valid for two years.

I've certified before. Do I still need to take the full course?

Will I learn CPR for babies too?
